The v4.3 branch has been mostly about improving compatibility and support of the existing protocols.
The biggest change is the addition of DoIP support for BMW and VAG. All the newer vehicles can be diagnosed with an ENET cable. Work has commenced on supporting the new Mercedes models as well.
For improving connectivity reverse proxies towards the Logger cluster have been setup at additional providers, which are tried client side if the main connection can not be established due to routing issues.
The support for different ECU’s has been extended in multiple protocols:
- VAG UDS: Vehicles with UNECE/SFD2 gateways can be datalogged.
- BMW KWP Advanced: Support added for the R series Minis.
- Suzuki Advanced: MED17.9.64 logging added including patch.
- Alfa/Fiat Advanced: Support for Fiat 124 Spider (the Fiat variant of the Mazda MX-5).
- Opel ME1.5.5/ME7.6.x Advanced: Now also supports ME9.6.
